Hi, I’m Ryecah Mae, the founder of FoodSaver.

When I started this journey, I had no experience building an app, but I was deeply motivated by one simple goal: to help.

Every day in the Philippines, I saw how much good food was being thrown away while so many Filipinos struggled to afford meals. Businesses were losing money from unsold products, families were stretching their budgets, and all the waste was harming the environment.

That didn’t feel right to me.

I was inspired by similar initiatives in other countries that connect surplus food with people who need it. I thought, why don’t we have something like this here, in a way that fits our culture and our needs?

So I took that idea and turned it into action. Even without any background in technology, I brought together a passionate team and worked hard to make FoodSaver a reality.

Today, FoodSaver helps businesses recover value from surplus food, gives customers access to affordable meals, and empowers everyone to care for our environment.

I believe that together, we can make a difference — for our community, our businesses, and our planet.
